Good afternoon friends!
Week 4 is done and dusted, and after the everything was said and done I would say we predicted the game scripts very well, which led to some nice results on DraftKings in particular. It’s only Tuesday, so we only have access to limited injury information thus far, but we have plenty to discuss in anticipation of what should be an awesome week 5. Let’s dig in!
Julian Edelman returns, Gronkowski absence looms large. Run it back with Nyheim Hines.
Tom Brady already came out saying he anticipates Edelman will play a huge role straight off the bat this week, as their offense could certainly use a spark. Gronkowski however was the only person on the entire team not to have any participation in Monday’s practice which does not bode well for his availability on a short week. Indy has been so ineffective on the ground thus far, that Hines and his ability to catch passes out of the backfield have virtually been an extension of what their run game should be and will continue to see heavy volume.
Fournette’s hammy-uncertainty leaves Yeldon looking great @ KC.
Hamstring injuries are among the trickiest of situations to predict for Running Backs, and I personally think Pat Mahomes is the real deal, so this game will be very interesting and should have close to 50 points on the board when it’s all said and done. Yeldon did a masterful job on the ground and through the air filling in for Leonard in week 4, and I will certainly be keeping my eye on this situation as the week develops.
Green Bay’s secondary was second only to Tampa Bay in terms of teams I liked to target against last season. Golladay and Tate have been the studs so far, however Marvin Jones is way too cheap this week and will be one of my favorite WR’s to target in a plus-matchup, division rivalry, at home. I also expect Cobb to miss this game for sure, while Allison is also a candidate to not play as he recovers from a concussion he received in the 3rdquarter last week.
James Connor against the Falcons
At this point, until the Falcons get healthier on defense, I will be streaming whatever RB is going against them especially one with as much pass-game usage as Connor. He should be highly owned amongst the sharps, but I would be surprised if less-experienced DFS players weren’t somewhat turned-off by his somewhat disappointing performances lately, which have mainly been products of game-script.
