NBA DFS Breakdown October 22nd

This is something I will be providing on all large slates, sometimes it will be published a little earlier in the day, however with NBA in particular, the longer you wait closer to lock the more accurate and powerful the analysis will be. With late-swap back in the picture, some of the best lineup decisions you will ever make can happen with mere minutes before lock. Fresh slate tonight to help rid us all of those Sunday-scaries. Top-Tier Targets

LeBron James ($10,500 DK, $11,800 FD) Think back to last season when Love was hurt, and LeBron was doing everything for the Cavs. That’s the type of usage he will be demonstrating over the next few games while his teammates serve out their suspensions. I’m not as hyped about LeBron’s price under normal circumstances, but tonight with the suspensions the circumstances are clearly not normal, fire him up in both Cash and GPP.

Karl-Anthony Towns ($8700 DK, $10,100 FD) He has a somewhat underwhelming start to the year, and clearly seems a little bothered by the uncomfortable locker room situation. However they will need a hefty dosage of his size tonight going up against Sabonis + Turner, in what should be a pretty entertaining, high-scoring game. Expect Jimmy Butler to return, however.

Other options to consider:

Kawhi Leonard, Damian Lillard, Giannis at the Garden

Mid-Tier Value Picks:

Luka Doncic ($6700 DK, $7500 FD) Luka arrived last game and showed us all what to expect from his game this season, as a combination of Derrick Rose and Tyus Jones attempted to guard him. He’s way too cheap given the fact that Harrison Barnes and Dirk are still out. Combine that with the fact that Chicago plays horrendous defense, and it is safe to infer that Luka makes for a great play tonight.

Kyle Kuzma ($5500 DK, $6500 FD /Lonzo Ball ($5100 DK, $6800 FD) Simple concept here, same logic as why LeBron is such a good play tonight; the suspensions to his teammates will create more usage than usual. Both are about 1500-2000 too cheap given the circumstances.

Other options to consider:

Josh Hart, Dennis Smith Jr.

Cheap Punt Plays:

Frank Ntilikina ($4100 DK, $4800 FD) Too cheap for the amount of minutes he’s getting. Frank should be an ample producer of peripheral stats as he is an above-average defender, and his scoring should continue to rise as his confidence grows with time.

Lance Stephenson ($3800 DK, $4800 FD) Same theme here as with all other Laker players previously written about today. The suspensions open up value + usage opportunities which most of the available Lakers aren’t properly priced for.

Other options to consider:

Kentavious-Caldwell Pope, Wendell Carter Jr, Antonio Blakeney

Injury News I’m Waiting On:

1.    Marcus Morris

2.    Kyle Anderson
