NBA DFS Breakdown October 24th

This is something I will be providing on all large slates, sometimes it will be published a little earlier in the day, however with NBA in particular, the longer you wait closer to lock the more accurate and powerful the analysis will be. With late-swap back in the picture, some of the best lineup decisions you will ever make can happen with mere minutes before lock.. Top-Tier Targets

LeBron James ($11,100 DK, FD) This west-coast showdown is most likely the game of the night in terms of stacking. LeBron’s usage went up by 5 points last game, and I expect it to continue to go up tonight, assuming this one stays competitive which it should. LeBron always ends up putting the team on his back and making sure he gets the job done himself in the past when his teams have been struggling to get wins. Look for Kuzma, Ball, LeBron, Hart, Javale, and Lonzo to all hit or exceed value tonight on the Lakers, in terms of the Suns I always like Ariza, Warren has been on a tear, and we all already know about Ayton + Booker.

Devin Booker ($8300 DK, FD) Booker’s usage (34.8) has been even higher than LeBron’s usage (32.3) during the Lakers suspensions against the Spurs. Considering he is almost 3k cheaper, at home, and an ideal candidate to run this stack back with on the Suns side, lock Booker into GPP and Cash. I do believe there will eventually be a point where Booker is too pricey, however that time is not yet, and this is a very juicy matchup.

Other options to consider:

Ben Simmons (fresh legs), Kawhi Leonard

Mid-Tier Value Picks:

Luka Doncic ($7100 DK, $ FD) The Hawks are a team that I will be targeting against all season. This is also a good spot for Dennis Smith Jr. as Trae Young will not be able to guard him, however I prefer Doncic for the simple fact that he has yet to really have a truly efficient shooting night and still continues to hit or exceed value. I expect his first really big game to happen tonight.

Deandre Ayton ($7300 DK, $ FD) Ayton’s been putting up monster numbers, even with difficult matchups so far. We’ve spoken at length so far about the prime stackability of this game, and who better to run it back with on the Suns side of things other than Ayton + Booker. Don’t get cute, this is a very similar situation as Monday night where many of the winning lineups had Derozen + Aldridge + LeBron + Kuzma.

Nicholas Batum ($5500 DK, $ FD) The Hornets have been a little annoying DFS wise so far this year due to the amount of blowouts they’ve been involved in, however tonight Batum is simply too cheap. Healthy again, and in a prime matchup against the Bulls Batum is safe value.

Other options to consider:

Dennis Smith Jr, Cedi Osman

Cheap Punt Plays:

Wendell Carter Jr ($4000 DK, $ FD) His minutes have been steadily increasing since the season-opener, and his price is not. Dunn is out again, so Cam Payne is also in play for cheap value.

Shelvin Mack ($3600 DK, $ FD) Temple and Mack should both be in line for extra minutes tonight. Destroyed value last game and has a nice history of accruing peripheral stats when given the minutes.

Other options to consider:

Damien Dotson, Collin Sexton, Marshon Brooks

Injury News I’m Waiting On:

1.     Jabari Parker

2.     Iman Shumpert

3.     Dillon Brooks

4.     Garrett Temple

5.     Ian Mahinmi
