NBA DFS Breakdown October 31st

Happy Halloween! With NBA in particular the longer you wait in the day and the closer to lock your game theory is, the more powerful and accurate the analysis will be. With late-swap back in the picture, some of the best lineup decisions ever made will happen mere minutes before lock. If you have any questions, be sure to join me in the RotoPros Slack Chat. Top-Tier Targets

Anthony Davis ($11,400 DK, $12,800 FD): As of now, AD is looking like a game-time decision against the defending champs while he deals with his shoulder-strain. With the highest point-total on the slate, this is a frustrating situation however I think it’s a good GPP strategy to roster AD with at least one other player in this game so that you can pivot to KD or Steph if AD is ruled out. I have a feeling AD ends up suiting up for this one, and in the matchups late last season went absolutely bonkers to beat GSW on the road.

Karl-Anthony Towns ($8400 DK, $9000 FD): Utah is absolutely a difficult matchup however Jimmy Butler and Jeff Teague have already been ruled out, and Andrew Wiggins is a game-time decision. Towns receives a massive usage-boost, is coming off of his best game of the season, and he will be needed to matchup with Rudy ‘The Stifle Tower’ Gobert tonight in the paint.

Other options to consider:

LeBron, Nikola Jokic

Mid-Tier Value Picks:

Jabari Parker ($6000 DK, $7500 FD): Hoiberg is finally doing the right thing and starting Jabari. He’s not poorly priced, and the matchup is definitely difficult, however I’m encouraged by the peripheral stats Parker’s been putting up lately (17 rebs, 9 assists last 2) and expect that to only increase with better players around him in the lineup, and starter’s minutes.

Rajon Rondo ($5700 DK, $5800 FD): Ball got the start in their last game, however Rondo ended up with more minutes. I wouldn’t be shocked if Ball got the start again tonight, however the Lakers need to start winning games and I expect some veteran leadership in the form of Mr. Rondo to help accomplish that objective. On a smaller note, Rondo also hates the Maverick organization with a passion after his time there.

Jarrett Allen ($5300 DK, $6600 FD):A couple of difficult matchups, poor game-scripts, and very fast-paced matchups have led to Allen’s price dropping to a season-low. However, he had his best game of the season against Detroit in the opener, and the Nets simply need his size to matchup with Drummond and Griffin down low on a back-to-back for the Pistons.

Other options to consider:

Derrick Rose, Ricky Rubio

Cheap Punt Plays:

Elie Okobo ($3700 DK, $3500 FD): Booker and Canaan have both been ruled out, leaving Okobo as the starter and primary ballhandler for the Suns tonight. His price does not reflect that and he will be one of my most highly-owned players tonight as he is coming off a career high 18-5-8 in OKC.

Tyus Jones ($3400 DK, $3500 FD): As mentioned before, Teague has been ruled out tonight with Butler for sure, and potentially Wiggins as well. Rose will be a popular play due to his increased level of play this season, however his price has been inflated to match his recent run of production, and Tyus should see an equal amount of minutes tonight and will probably be the lower owned of the two.

Other options to consider:

Mitchell Robinson, Mikal Bridges

Injury News I’m Waiting On:

1.     Andrew Wiggins

2.     Anthony Davis

3.     Jordan Bell

4.     Shaun Livingston
