NBA DFS Breakdown November 5th

With NBA in particular the longer you wait and the closer to lock your game theory is, the more accurate and powerful the analysis will be. With late-swap back in the picture, some of the best lineup decisions you will ever make can happen with mere minutes before lock.. Top-Tier Targets

Russell Westbrook ($11,100 DK, $12,000 FD): Westbrook played the Pelicans three times last season, he proceeded to triple-double all three times. I expect much of the same this evening, and even though his price is creeping up, Russ is the top play on the slate. The Thunder have been playing some very efficient basketball lately, and AD should be good to go as well so the blowout shouldn’t be a concern. Davis had some pretty big stat-lines in last season’s matchups with the Thunder so a stack here with value that opens up later this evening is fine with me.

Kyle Lowry ($8600 DK, $8300 FD): Another man whose price is steadily creeping up, Lowry is adjusting to life after Demar very well. This blurb is dependent on Kawhi resting, but if that is indeed the case Lowry will be safe for Cash and GPP both. Utah has been playing at a faster pace than last season, which I expect to change later in the year. Bottomline, without Kawhi there will be more playmaking duties for Lowry and the ball will be in his hands almost the entire time he is on the court.

Victor Oladipo ($8200 DK, $9100 FD): A true world-class human, Oladipo is also turning out to be a pretty good basketball player as well. He singlehandedly carried the Pacers to the W down the stretch in their last home game, and I expect much of the same result tonight. Even while shooting 6-18, Victor is a rare, two-way player who can easily hit value with his peripheral stats on any given night. Houston got back to winning ways with Harden’s return against the Bulls on Saturday, however this will be a harder test.

Other options to consider:

Anthony Davis, Blake Griffin

Mid-Tier Value Picks

Aaron Gordon ($6500 DK, $7300 FD): This is about as high as I would consider mid-tier to be, however Gordon’s price just stood out to me today as looking too cheap and I didn’t want to exclude him from the writeup. Cleveland has been prone to blowouts, negatively effecting the starters on their opposition, however Orlando is only marginally more talented than the Cavs this season and I expect the game to be fairly competitive throughout. Gordon should have no problem paying off this price-tag.

Jabari Parker ($5700 DK, $6600 FD): I’ve been actively fading Jabari for the last week or two regardless of how highly he’s been projecting, however coming into the Garden I think this could finally be the night we’ve been looking for. Carter and Lavine have looked great, but definitely need some help with the nightly scoring burden, look for 20-5-3 tonight from Jabari.

Other options to consider:

Evan Fournier, Kelly Olynyk

Cheap Punt Plays

Bam Adebayo ($4300 DK, $3800 FD): Hassan was ruled out, look for Bam to start and have a difficult matchup with Drummond. If he can stay out of foul trouble, Bam should play heavy minutes and is a great value option. Goran should be returning from injury and I also expect Olynyk to receive a minutes-bump, however Adebayo is the best value of the day so far. Check back closer to tip to confirm he is starting.

Stanley Johnson ($3700 DK, $4600 FD): This is dependent on Bullock missing the game, Stanley will be needed to match up with the type of players the Heat will be playing (Winslow, Richardson, Mcgruder) and should have ample minutes to produce.

Other options to consider:

Mario Hezonja (If Hardaway out), Pat Beverley
