Thursday, brings us a small four-game slate. Let’s take a look at some of the top plays at each price tier.
High Tier Target
Kevin Durant (DK - $10,200 : FD - $10,800)
Durant is a safe play in tonight’s monster matchup with the Greek Freak and the Milwaukee Bucks coming to Oracle. The over/under for tonight’s game, as of this writing, is 240.5 points. The Bucks are playing at a faster pace and shooting more threes under Coach Bud than they ever had during Jason Kidd’s tenure. You can pencil KD in for 50 fantasy points tonight at bare minimum and look to even stack this game on a small slate (I’ll get to that later). But if you plan to payup for a stud i would go with Durant over Giannis tonight.
Mid Tier Targets
Dennis Schroeder (DK - $7,000 : FD - $7,000)
Without Russell Westbrook tonight for the Thunder, Shroeder will get the start. he was great in the last game without Russ. I would view him as more of a cash play with high expected ownership.
Jerami Grant (DK - $4,900 : FD - $5,600)
Jerami has consistently been one of my favorite plays all year. He still is very cheap considering he has surpassed the 20 fantasy point plateau in every game so far this year. With Westbrook expected to be miss the game tonight look for him to have a monster fantasy game.
Patrick Beverly (DK - $3,800 : FD - $4,500)
I’ll keep this short and sweet, Beverly is one of the best defensive point guards in the league. Going up against one of the best offensive guard duos in the league expect Beverly to play significant minutes and rack up fantasy points. Avery Bradley, their other premier perimeter defender, missed the Clippers last game so be on the watch for his status. Also, I would rather pay up for Durant or Giannis than any of the high priced guards on the slate.
Alfonzo McKinnie (DK - $3,800 : FD - $3,800)
McKinnie has been a great find for the Warriors, who need to hit home runs with the vet minimum guys due to their high priced superstars. He is coming off a game against the Grizzlies where he played just a shade under 30 minutes and had 14 real life points. It is likely he will get an even more expanded role with Draymond Green out tonight.
