NBA Against the Spread Picks - 11/10

After a 2-0 day yesterday in the NBA I am going to give some picks for today’s 10 game slate .

My number one piece of advice is DON’T RISK MONEY YOU DON’T HAVE!

Let’s get started (****all spread are as of this writing****)

Grizzlies (-2) over the 76ers

Breaking News: Philadelphia acquired Jimmy Butler! Now that we got that out of the way, Jimmy is not going to be playing tonight. Because Philly also traded away Covington and Saric they will be playing shorthanded against a tough opponent on the road. On top of that the 76ers are 1-5 on the road this year.

Memphis on the other hand, is at full strength and 4-0 at home. They play really good defense especially at the center position with Marc Gasol who will try to neutralize Embiid, who’s minutes may be limited on the second leg of a back to back (They also went to overtime last night where Embiid played 40 minutes - 5 over his average).

Warriors (-7.5) over the Nets

Steph Curry and Draymond Green won’t be playing tonight, however, I don’t think it will be a major issue for Golden State tonight. The line is down from 10 points to the 7.5 we are getting them at, upon hearing the Steph news. That’s the beauty of having four (five if you count Boogie) superstars on your team. If one (or two in this case) is missing your team is still stacked. They got railroaded at home against a surging Milwaukee team, I expect the champs to bounce back hard.

The Nets won last night in Denver, which is extremely impressive for a young team. The way they are playing they can sneak into the back end of the Eastern Conference Playoffs. However, on the second game of a road back to back is what we call a “schedule loss” (Also pay attention to spread of their game in Minnesota on Monday which will be third tough road game in four days). This spread is too small against a loaded Warriors team even without Steph.

Rockets (-2.5) over the Spurs

Houston is coming off a complete dud the the other night in Oklahoma City to pile onto their dud of a season so far. Carmelo is out tonight which should improve the team defensively.

After starting the season off very strong, San Antonio has two pretty bad losses against the Magic and the Heat. Gasol and Poeltl are out tonight depleting the Spurs front court from a defensive standpoint opening up driving lanes for Harden and Paul.

The main reason I am targeting this game though is there is heavy sharp money coming in on Rockets despite the public being pretty neutral.
