NBA DFS Breakdown 12/11/18

With the NBA in particular the longer you wait and the closer to lock your game theory is, the more accurate and powerful the analysis will be. With late-swap back in the picture, some of the best lineup decisions you will ever make can happen with mere minutes before lock.. Top-Tier Targets

James Harden ($10,700 DK, $11,500 FD): Sometimes on small slates such as this it is necessary to stuff the stars in there and be happy with their 40+ points regardless of whether it’s value or not, for example Damian Lillard last Thursday against the Suns. The Rockets have lost three in a row so look for the Beard to take control in this one to ensure the victory.

LaMarcus Aldridge ($8100 DK, $8400 FD): There’s a slight blowout risk in this one for sure, however as mentioned above sometimes in these smaller slates it is a necessary evil to take the easy points and move on; meaning eat the blowout risk and just accept the fact the Suns have no one to stop LMA from a big night.

Clint Capela ($7700 DK, $9100 FD): Nurkic is no walk in the park in terms of a matchup, however whenever Harden is considered a Cash play I like to include Capela as well given their absurdly positive correlations.

Other options to consider:

Demar Derozen, Kawhi Leonard, Damian Lillard, Jusuf Nurkic

Mid-Tier Value Picks:

CJ McCollum ($6800 DK, $7300 FD): CJ has been playing much more efficiently after a slow start to the season and a matchup in Houston always has the potential to be offensively electric. Small slate with fewer options, however CJ is my preferred option to run it back with than Lillard due to the savings.

Danilo Gallinari ($6500 DK, $6700 FD): This game should definitely be competitive, and Gallinari has been racking up some more peripheral stats than in the past. With his rebounding, assist totals, and scoring all up Gallo makes for a solid Cash and GPP play tonight.

Other options to consider:

Eric Gordon, Serge Ibaka, TJ Warren

Cheap Punt Plays:

De’Anthony Melton ($4300 DK, $5300 FD): Averaging about 25 minutes per night since the Suns began their search for a starting PG, Melton is accruing around 14-4-4 with a few steals and blocks to top it off. He also gets the added bonus of playing in ‘garbage time’ against the opposing team’s bench which gives him a slight bump over Okobo.

Derrick White ($3800 DK, $4200 FD): His minutes have been very inconsistent this season however they are trending back up. The good news is that he is definitely someone the Spurs organization wants to develop which means he will benefit from ‘garbage time’ which should be almost the entire second half of this game. He’s more GPP than Cash.

Marco Belinelli ($3500 DK, $3700 FD): Same reasoning as White, however Marco is more reliable and comes with less peripheral stats. Small slates mean little variance, and tough choices however.

Other options to consider:

Mikal Bridges, Avery Bradley, Fred VanVleet

Injury News I’m Waiting On:

  1. Lou Williams (LAC)

  2. Marquesse Chriss (HOU)

  3. Davis Bertans (SAS)

  4. Jamal Crawford (PHO)
