Top-Tier Pitching Targets:

Kevin Gausman ($9000 DK, $7200 FD):This is yet another example of the MLB Flow Chart; use any sort of decent starting pitcher against the Marlins and the Giants until further notice. I also happen to view Gausman as a very respectable pitcher who should benefit from being on a playoff-contender for the first time in his career.

Shane Bieber ($9300 DK, $8900 FD): My opinion may change here on who is the #2 option for DraftKings as the lineups come out throughout this afternoon, however for now Bieber seems the likely choice given his easier matchup than McHugh. He beat Toronto in his only start last season in 6.1 innings with 6 K’s.

Other options to consider:

Nick Pivetta

Mid-Tier/Cheap Pitching Targets:

Zack Godley ($6900 DK, $7500 FD): Shockingly enough Godley hasn’t faced-off against Boston even once in the last two seasons, so there wasn’t any information to pull from that. However, Godey has tremendous K-upside and is coming in at an incredibly cheap price for a starter with his quality who also happens to be pitching at home. I love Zack tonight as a second option for DraftKings, however I would go elsewhere in Cash and save him for the GPP’s.

Joe Musgrove ($7600 DK, $7800 FD): Not the sexiest play and more of a GPP recommendation as he pitched extremely well against the Reds one-time last season and proceeded to get lit up during his other outing against them. My gut says that he will start his season off well in this one and will benefit from being the home-starter tonight.

Top-Tier Offensive Stack:

Braves Lefties: The Braves are playing extremely well to start the season, and they are coming off a big night against struggling Yu Darvish. Miami has a very weak bullpen and is a team we will target against with our offensive stacks and our pitchers as much as possible this season until something changes with their roster.

Other options to consider:

Mid-Tier/Cheap Offensive Stack:

Pirate Lefties: The Pirates happen to have some talented, young lefty-bats in their top-5 (Bell, Frazier) and they also both happen to usually be under 4K a piece on DraftKings. This will change soon as Bell has tremendous power-upside, while Frazier has both power and speed upside. Sonny Gray has the potential to get a little wild which leads to baserunners and mistake-pitches.

Other options to consider:

Angel Lefties
