Top-Tier Pitching Targets:

Justin Verlander ($10,400 DK, $10,700 FD): Verlander has racked up 23.5 and 43.6 points in his last two starts against the Yanks. Those starts would have gone against a much healthier and more formidable Yankee starting-nine, as well as the fact that Yankee-stacks won GPP’s yesterday afternoon will most likely drive Verlander’s ownership down. Our top SP option for this evening’s slate in both Cash and GPP.

Madison Bumgarner ($9300 DK, $9200 FD): In terms of paying up, I prefer Verlander without question. However, Bumgarner pitched very well in the season-opener (7IP, 9K’s) against this same matchup with San Diego. I don’t mind pairing Bumgarner with Verlander in Cash due to the extremely high-floors on both of them.

Other options to consider:

Vince Velasquez, Hyun-jin Ryu

Mid-Tier/Cheap Pitching Targets:

Trevor Cahill ($7100 DK, $7300 FD): Cahill definitely checks in as our fourth or fifth favorite play distantly behind Teheran in terms of cheaper-starting pitchers, however he has pitched very respectably in his first two starts, and it’s always a decent move to target the home SP in a matchup where his team is favored to win.

Julio Teheran ($5800 DK, $6700 FD): Julio has been fantastic against the Rockies in three career starts averaging just around 24 fantasy points per start. He is priced-down tonight due to the Coors-factor and certainly has his share of risk. With that being said, he makes for an excellent GPP play as the matchup is very positive and his track record certainly allows for a glimmer of confidence.

Other options to consider:

Anibal Sanchez, Miles Mikolas

Top-Tier Offensive Stack:

Atlanta Braves: Heading into Coors Field is always a good way for an offense to get the bats going. The Braves are coming off a series-win over the Marlins and have three players in particular who make for excellent targets against left-handed starters. Acuna (144), Albies (146), and Camargo (134) all have above-average WRC+’s. Dansby Swanson also makes for an honorable mention to make it at least a four-man stack.

Other options to consider:

Phillies

Mid-Tier/Cheap Offensive Stack:

Oakland Athletics: I prefer paying up for the Braves right-handed bats tonight, however Andrew Cashner (BAL) is one of the least-expensive pitchers for a reason as he is pretty hittable at this stage in his career. Check back in a few hours to see if Khris Davis is back.

Other options to consider:

Baltimore Orioles
