Goalie Target

Pekka Rinne(NSH)

The Preds have clinched a playoff spot but still have a lot to play for as they are tied for the division lead(home ice advantage) and only one point separates the Top 3 teams. Expect Rinne to tend the net tonight in this big spot and he has also been terrific down the stretch holding opponents to two or fewer goals in four of his last five starts and has tallied a .927 save % over his last 10 starts. The Preds are -275 home favorites against the Canucks and their 23rd ranked offense and this puts Rinne right at the top of the goalie targets in all formats for me tonight.

Center Target

Dylan Larkin(DET)

Larkin has stood out from a PTS/$ perspective all season as his price never really got too high despite a career year. Despite no playoffs in site once again, Larkin has been terrific down the stretch with multi-point games in four straight including a three-assist game against these Penguins two nights ago. He provides us with a high floor and a ton of upside and as the 9th(DK) and 12th(FD) most expensive center, he is a part of my core in all formats.

Also Consider: Nathan MacKinnon(COL)

Wing Target

Timo Meier(SJ)

I know it seems like I write about Meier every single time but it is for good reason. He had a breakout season and enters tonight with 66 points but the floor is what I have concentrated on more as he holds an elite 11.3 shots per 60 and 20.2 iCorsi per 60 on the season. He and the Sharks now get an elite matchup against the Oilers who have lost four straight and seven of their last nine games while giving up 39 goals(4.3 per game). Best of all, Meier’s price on FanDuel continues to hover in the sub $6K range putting him in elite PTS/$ territory tonight and safe in all formats.

Also Consider: Jake Guentzel(PIT)

Defense Target

Dougie Hamilton(CAR)

I am sticking with Dougie Hamilton as my top play on defense. Hard not to as he checks every box tonight starting with his elite floor. Over his last 10 games, he has tallied a whopping 51 combined shots/blocks and on the season he is averaging 3.2 shots per game, 1.1 blocks per game, and has a 20.1 iCorsi per 60. While the upside is not that of Burns, Carlson, Letang and others it sure gets a boost tonight against a Devils team that ranks 30th in road defense allowing 3.9 goals per game. With these prices, Hamilton is another player that is a part of my core in all formats.
