You can obviously play Luka Doncic, but he’s super expensive and the match-up with the Los Angeles Lakers isn’t a great one. Trae Young on the other hand, has a dream match-up with the Washington Wizards. Both the Wizards and Hawks like to run and it’s why we’re looking at a 238.5 over/under in this game. Young has been on fire of late and it seems like he’s finally fully meshing with John Collins after both have faced injuries to start the season. The price is rising of late, but I still think Young has some upside at this price and the ownership will be lowered by folks playing Luka.

With Jrue Holiday already ruled out and Brandon Ingram questionable, Lonzo Ball is going to be a popular play tonight and rightfully so. If Ingram plays, Lonzo is already seeing a usage-bump with Holiday out of the lineup. If Ingram sits, Lonzo will be a lock and close to 50% owned. I’ll eat the chalk here as Ball is playing the best basketball of his career and now gets a match-up with the fast-paced New Orleans Pelicans. Ball has been over 30 fantasy points in five straight games and you can expect that trend to continue tonight. The price still has some room to move.

Buddy Hield is my guy tonight that I expect to go under-owned that I love. The Bucks play fast and Hield is way too cheap on both sites. He has a great shot at getting over 35 fantasy points and his upside is truly in the 50’s. Hield is the Kings primary scorer and we’ve seen De’Aaron Fox defer to Hield recently. The Bucks still play at the league’s fastest pace and the Kings are going to see a few extra possessions in turn. Expect Hield to come in under 15% owned and I love him in all formats.

Whether Anthony Davis plays or not, I’m a big fan of LeBron James in this match-up. I expect an under-the-radar rivalry to develop between LeBron and Doncic as LBJ slowly hands the reigns over as the best player in the country. The Mavericks play at a fast pace and LeBron is going to dice this defense up as Doncic tries to show he’s the best player on the floor. The price on James is fair on both sites and you can play him in both cash games and tournaments. If Anthony Davis sits, LeBron is a must play and Kyle Kuzma is great as well.

Thaddeus Young played 34 minutes with Wendell Carter Jr. out last game and did exactly what we expected. Young constantly fills up the stat sheet and he did just that with 18 points, six rebounds, two assists, and three steals. The Bulls will need Thad Young to have another big game against the Pacers if they want to win and it’s fair to expect another 32-36 minutes. Young is a great value play in all formats.

With Paul George out, JaMychal Green is locked into at least 28 minutes and he could very well get up to 34. He was at 31 last game and the match-up with Golden State is phenomenal. They give as many open threes up as anyone in the league and Green isn’t afraid to fire away. His price is near-minimum on both sites and with so many players to pay up for on this slate, we need the solid value.

There are only two options for me at center and both are pay-down big men. With Julius Randle out, Bobby Portis is going to be a big part of this offense and the match-up with New Orleans couldn’t be better. Portis was phenomenal last game against the Jazz in a similar spot with 13/13/6 for 40 fantasy points. He now gets a far better match-up and the Knicks will be sure to feed the hot hand after last game. If it wasn’t for the guy we’re about to touch on, I’d have 100% Bobby Portis. I still might.

Dewayne Dedmon has been unhappy with the amount of playing time he’s gotten this year. With Richaun Holmes out, Dewayne Dedmon played 31 minutes last game and put up a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. The Bucks play fast and they give up a ton of points to big men who sit in the paint. Brook Lopez likes to drift and isn’t the most physical center. Expect Dedmon to show off for other teams as he wants to get traded more than anything.
