Welcome back hockey fans. After a quiet night on Wednesday, we are back with a large 10-game slate on Thursday so strap in and get ready for liftoff! In this article, I will be taking a look at my favorite goalies, teams to target, and value plays.
The reigning vezina trophy winner hasn’t been great so far this year but he still has a .911 save % and a 2.56 GAA with a 5-4 record. Tonight, it’s more about the opponent who happens to be the Ottawa Senators and their 29th-ranked offense. The Jets are massive -210 home favourites so look for Hellebuyck to shut the door and all things considered, he is a great play in all formats.
The reigning Stanley Cup champ has been magnificent so far this season as he boasts a 8-2 record to go along with a solid .936 save % and a stifling 1.80 GAA. Tonight’s opponent, the Panthers are ranked 13th offensively but the Lightning own the best defense in the league so lock and load Vasil in all formats.
TOP TEAMS TO TARGET
The Jets and their 9th-ranked offense have already defeated the Sens and their league-worst defense three times this season and have outscored them by a total of 14-7.
Superstar Mark Scheifele is on a four-game point streak and already has five goals and ten assists this season, and Nikolaj Ehlers had two goals on six shots last game. Andrew Copp joins the two studs on the top line for the Jets.
The Flames have scored nine goals in their last two games and the Canucks own the league’s 30th-ranked defense and are on a five-game losing streak.
Elias Lindholm had two goals and six shots in his last two games and Matthew Tkachuk has two assists in his last two. Johnny Gaudreau, Sean Monahan, and Rasmus Andersen complete the top PP unit for the Flames.
Since being traded to his home city from Winnipeg, the youngster has a point in the last five games that he has played, with two of them being multi-point efforts. Roslovic centers the top line and the #1 PP unit for the Jackets so lock him into every one of your lineups this evening in all formats.
Josh’s are stealing the show on the value train today and this Josh has five goals in his last four games and is second in the league with nine goals so far this season. Anderson’s price is still way too cheap so make sure you get exposure to him against a weak Oilers defense.
