Daily Fantasy Hockey Plays for DraftKings and FanDuel May 8/21

Goalies

Cam Talbot

Talbot has found a nice home in Minnesota and he’s having a solid season as he is 18-7-5 to go along with a 2.58 GAA and a .918 save %. The Ducks are ranked 30th in offense and dead last on the PP, and the Wild are massive -275 favorites to win. Lock and load Talbot in all formats this evening.

Mike Smith

The veteran tender has been awesome this season as he has a record of 19-6-2 to go along with a 2.26 GAA and .925 save %. The Canucks are ranked 26th in offense and 26th on the PP and the Oilers are -205 favorites to win so fire up Smith in all formats.

Teams to Target

Minnesota Wild

The Wild are surging at the right time and they own the ninth-ranked offense while the Ducks own the 23rd ranked defense but backup Ryan Miller is really struggling for the Ducks.

Rookie Kirill Kaprizov has five goals as three assists in his last five games and 37 shots in his last 10. Mats Zuccarello has a goal and three assists in his last four and Ryan Hartman completes the Ducks’ top line.

Toronto Maple Leafs

The Leafs are playing well again and they’re ranked fifth in offense, while the Habs are ranked 17th in defense but they owned a top-10 defense for most of the season and Jake Allen has allowed ten goals in his last two Games.

All-world centre Auston Matthews has 64 points in only 49 games and Mitchell Marner has 66 points in 53 games. Morgan Rielly, John Tavares, and William Nylander complete the top PP unit.

One-off Value Plays

Anthony Beauvillier

The young winger is on a five-game point streak where he has five goals and an assist, and a whopping 24 shots. Fire him up on both sites a nice value play.

Erik Karlsson

The veteran point-man has two goals, six shots, and three blocks in his last two games and is too cheap on both sites for his current production. Lock him and load him as a value play this evening.

Goalies

Jordan Binnington

The young tender with a Stanley Cup on his resume has been solid lately as he has won four of his last five games and he allowed only one goal to the Ducks last game. The Ducks are ranked 30th in offense and the Blues are massive favorites to win so fire up Binnington in all formats.

Philipp Grubauer

The veteran German tender has been awesome this year as he is 27-8-1 to go along with a 2.00 GAA and a .921 save %. The Sharks can score goals at times but they are still ranked 24th in offense and the Avs are just too strong of a team. Lock and load Grubauer in all formats with confidence.

Teams to Target

Colorado Avalanche

Holy Mackerel, the Avs top line has been on an absolute tear lately and they own the league’s top offense while the Sharks are ranked 29th in defense.

Of course it starts with Nathan Mackinnon who has a goal, three assists and a whopping 18 shots in his last two games. That’s simply amazing and Mikko Rantanen has three goals, four assists, and 13 shots in his last three and Gabriel Landeskog completes the top line for the Avs.

Washington Capitals

This game could get ugly as there was a lot of drama two nights ago and Tom Wilson didn’t even get suspended for his unsurprising behaviour. The Rangers have nothing to play for so the Caps could be on their third-ranked powerplay a lot.

Nicklas Backstrom has a goal and three assists in his last three games and John Carlson had an assist, three shots, and three blocks last game. Some of the Caps’ top players are still hurt or sick so we will need to check the lineups later in the day to see who completes the top PP unit.

One-off Value Plays

Nick Suzuki

The young centre is becoming a star for the Habs and he is on a six-game point streak where he has four goals and six assists. He is too cheap on both sites for this kind of production so fire him up as a value play.

Justin Faulk

The veteran point-man has been a good fit with the Blues and he has two assists, ten shots, and three blocks in his last two games while averaging 26 minutes of ice-time. Lock and load Faulk as a value play this evening.

Hockey Picks for DraftKings and FanDuel – April 17

Hello hockey fans, we have a six-game main slate today and I am here to share with you my favorite goalies, team stacks and value plays.

Goalies

Petr Mrazek

The Canes are a Stanley Cup contender this season and they have their starting goalie back and healthy. Mrazek is 3-0-1 since coming back and he has allowed only seven goals and has earned a shutout during that span. The Preds are ranked 26th in offense so all things considered, Mrazek is an elite play in all formats.

Anton Khudobin

The Jackets are projected to score only 1.9 goals this evening and Khudobin is 3-0-2 in his last five while allowing only eight goals. The Stars should win this game fairly easily today so lock and load Khudobin in all formats.

Teams to Target

Carolina Hurricanes

The Canes own the 10th-ranked offense and the Preds own the 15th-ranked defense but where things really stand out, is Carolina’s #1-ranked PP vs.Nashville’s #27-ranked PK.

Vincent Trocheck has been awesome this year as he has 19 goals and 17 assists in only 33 games. Dougie Hamilton has six goals, 28 assists and averages 3.3 shots per game, which is best amongst defensemen and Sebastian Aho, Andrei Svechnikov, and Jordan Staal complete the top PP unit.

Dallas Stars

The Stars are ranked 18th in offense but they have moved up a lot of spots over the last couple of months and the Jackets are ranked 27th in defense and they are simply not good.

The top line has been one of the best lines in hockey recently and rookie Jason Robertson has four goals and two assists in his last five games. Joe Pavelski has 39 points in 42 games and Roope Hintz completes the potent top line.

One-off Value Plays

Mats Zuccarello

The Norwegian winger has been blazing hot in his last two games as he has three goals and five shots and two of those goals were on the PP. The Sharks have a bad defense so fire up the veteran winger in all formats as a cheap value play.

Neal Pionk

Some people were grumbling about the Jets not picking up a top-four point-man at the trade deadline but I’m hearing that they like what they have in stock already. Pionk has three assists, three shots, and three blocks in his last two games while averaging 22 minutes of ice-time. Lock him and load him in all formats.

Daily Fantasy Hockey Plays for DraftKings & FanDuel – Tuesday, April 13

Hello hockey fans, we have a six-game main slate today and I am here to share with you my favorite goalies, team stacks and value plays.

Goalies

Tuukka Rask

First of all, I will play any Bruins goalie tonight against the lowly Sabres and their 29th-ranked offense but it sounds like Rask is ready to go again after a ten-game absence with a back issue. The veteran tender has a solid 2.40 GAA and a half-decent .907 save % in 14 starts and the Bruins are massive -310 favourites this evening so lock and load the Bruins goalie in all formats.

Igor Shesterkin

While it will be hard to get away from the Bruins’ goalie in cash games, the Rangers goalie is a solid choice for GPP formats against the Devils who just traded a couple of their better players. Shesterkin has a respectable 2.30 GAA and a solid .920 save % and the Devils are ranked 26th in offense so all things considered, he is a great play in GPP formats.

Teams to Target

Washington Capitals

The Caps scored eight goals against the Bruins last game and are ranked third in offense while the Flyers are ranked 30th in defense. This could get ugly quickly.

Of course, it all starts with superstar Alex Ovechkin’s two goals, an assist, and a whopping 19 shots in his last three games. Tom Wilson had a goal and an assist last game and Evgeny Kuznetsov completes the top line for the Caps.

New York Rangers

The Rangers are ranked sixth in offense while the Devils are ranked 25th in defense and we’ve all seen what these guys can do in matchups against weak opponents.

Artemi Panarin has 42 points in only 30 games and Adam Fox has 37 points in 40 games which is great for a d-man. Mika Zibanejad, Ryan Strome and Pavel Buchnevich complete the top PP unit for the Rangers.

One-off Value Plays

Alex Galchenyuk

The Leafs moved the much-traveled winger up to the top line with Marner and Matthews last night and he only got one shot but what an opportunity. The Habs played the Leafs tough but look for them to rebound tonight and Galchenyuk is way too cheap on both sites for this amazing opportunity. At least he can keep up with them.

Jack Ahcan

I know what you’re asking. Who is this guy? I don’t really know myself but he’s set up to play on the top PP unit this evening because of all of the injuries on the blue-line for the Bruins. Ahcan is priced at the bare minimum on each site so I will be taking a chance on him in all formats.

Daily Fantasy Hockey Plays for DraftKings & FanDuel – Tuesday, April 6

Hello hockey fans, we have a nine-game main slate today and I am here to share with you my favorite goalies, team stacks and value plays.

Goalies

Juuse Saros

The Preds have been playing better lately and it starts with Saros, who is coming off of a 41 save shutout and has won five of his last six starts. The Wings were one of those teams he blanked and they own the league’s 29th-ranked offense so fire up Saros in all formats with confidence.

Martin Jones

The Sharks have also been playing better recently and Jones has won four in a row while allowing only seven goals and earning a shutout during that span. The Ducks are ranked 30th in offense so it should be a fairly easy win for the veteran tender this evening. Fire up Jones in all formats.

Teams to Target

Boston Bruins

The Bruins scored only two goals against the Flyers and their second-worst defense last night so look for revenge this evening as they get to fire pucks at Carter Hart who has been downright awful this season.

Patrice Bergeron has heated up recently as he has two goals, two assists, and 20 shots in his last four games. Brad Marchand has also been hot lately with four goals and two assists in his last four. David Pastrnak, Nick Ritchie, and Mark Grzelcyk complete the top PP unit.

New York Rangers

The Penguins own a top 15 defense but they just allowed seven goals to the Bruins and the Rangers have been scoring goals from every direction lately.

The bread man Artemi Panarin has three goals, four assists, and eleven shots in his last three games and Adam Fox is on an incredible 10-game point streak. Mika Zibanejad, Ryan Strome, and Pavel Buchnevich complete the top PP unit.

One-off Value Plays

Rudolfs Balcers

I love this guy’s name and he’s way too

cheap considering that he plays on the #2 line and the #2 PP unit for the Sharks. Rudolfs has two goals, two assists, and seven shots in his last three games so lock him and load him in all formats and spend up elsewhere.

MacKenzie Weegar

The young point-man has a goal, three assists, four shots, and five blocks in his last two games and he is averaging 22 minutes of ice-time per game. His role has increased with Aaron Ekblad out of the lineup so fire him up in all formats.

Daily Fantasy Hockey Plays for DraftKings & FanDuel – Tuesday, March 30

Hello hockey fans, we have a seven-game main slate today and I am here to share with you my favorite goalies, team stacks and value plays.

Goalies

Andrei Vasilevskiy

So, the best tender in the league is human after all as he’s allowed four goals in each of his last two games. Well, he will have revenge on his mind against the Jackets on home-ice this time and he has a 2.00 GAA to go along with a stifling .930 save % on the season. The Lightning are massive -210 favorites this evening so start Vasilevskiy with confidence in all formats.

Jaroslav Halak

The veteran Slovakian net-minder allowed only one goal against the Devils last game but the Bruins couldn’t score a goal. Halak gets the same matchup against a punchless 28th-ranked Devils offense so lock him and load him in all formats this evening.

Teams to Target

Tampa Bay

Lightning

The Lightning are ranked first in offense and second on the PP while the Jackets are ranked 23rd in defense and 24th on the penalty kill.

Steven Stamkos has 31 points in 32 games and nine PP goals which is first in the league amongst wingers. Ondrej Palat has seven PP goals and also has 31 points in 32 games. Brayden Point, Alex Killorn, and Victor Hedman complete the top PP unit for the Lightning.

Carolina Hurricanes

The Canes are ranked sixth in offense and first on the PP while the Hawks are ranked 22nd in defense and 27th on the penalty kill.

Sebastian Aho has two goals, three assists, and eleven shots in his last three games and Dougie Hamilton is on an amazing 14-game point streak. Andrei Svechnikov, Jordan Staal, and Vincent Trocheck complete the top PP unit for the Canes.

One-off Value Plays

Jason Robertson

The rookie Stars’ winger is still continuing to make waves around the league and he has two goals, an assist, and 12 shots in his last three games. Robertson is a terrific play at these prices in all formats as he plays on the top line and the top PP unit for the Stars.

Dmitry Orlov

The wily veteran point-man for the Caps has been dishing out fantasy points lately as he has a goal, two assists, four shots and eight blocks in his last three games. Orlov is too cheap for the kind of production he has been turning in lately so fire him up in all formats.

Daily Fantasy Hockey Plays for DraftKings & FanDuel – Saturday, March 27

Hello hockey fans, we have a seven-game main slate today and I am here to share with you my favorite goalies, team stacks and value plays.

Goalies

Kevin Lankinen

Wow, the goalie position is a tough one today so we have to dig a little deeper to find a couple of solid options. The Hawks’ rookie tender has been awesome in his last two games as he allowed only two goals to go along with a shutout against the Panthers and their ninth ranked offense. Today, the Predators and their 27th-ranked offense travel to Windy City and look for Lankinen to stay hot. Lock him and load him in all formats this evening.

Andrei Vasilevskiy

This is a bad matchup for the best goalie in the league against the Canes and their eighth-ranked offense but great goalies almost always step up in tough situations. Vasilevskiy is 21-4-1 to go along with a superb 1.91 GAA and a stifling .932 save %. Tonight is a great opportunity to get the Russian tender at lower ownership than normal and he could help you take down a GPP tournament.

Teams to Target

Toronto Maple Leafs

The Leafs are ranked fifth in offense, the Oilers are ranked 17th in defense, and the total is currently at 6.5 goals. There should be fireworks in this game with the two best players in the world facing off against each other.

Superstar Auston Matthews has 21 goals and 16 assists through 30 games and averages four shots per game. His partner in crime, Mitchell Marner has 41 points in 33 games and Wayne Simmonds completes the top line for the Leafs.

Arizona Coyotes

The Coyotes just scored five goals against the Sharks and their 28th-ranked defense and they’ve now scored 16 in their last four games. Phil Kessel is way too cheap on DraftKings and he has two goals, an assist, and five shots in his last two games. His line-mate Clayton Keller has two assists and five shots in his last two and Johan Larsson completes the top line.

One-off Value Plays

Jason Robertson

This young winger is making waves around the league and he has a goal, three assists, and 12 shots in his last three games. Robertson feels like an automatic play at these prices as he plays on the top line and the top PP unit for the Stars.

Tucker Poolman

The youngsters are taking over in this section and the point-man has an assist, three shots, and ten blocks in his last three games. With these cheap guys in our lineups, it allows us to load up on high-end players.

Josh’s are stealing the show on the value train today and this Josh has five goals in his last four games and is second in the league with nine goals so far this season. Anderson’s price is still way too cheap so make sure you get exposure to him against a weak Oilers defense.

GOALIES

Carey Price

Price hasn’t quite been right so far this season but he will probably settle in soon. Tonight, it’s more about his opponent, the Sens who are ranked 28th in offense and the Habs are massive -220 favourites to win. The Sens won their most recent meeting in overtime so look for the Habs to get revenge this evening and Price is a great play in all formats.

Mike Smith

The Oilers are starting to get great goaltending play and that is very dangerous for the rest of the division. Smith is 4-0 with a stifling .940 save % to go along with a 1.83 GAA and the Canucks are ranked a below average 17th in offense. The Oilers should simply be too much for the Canucks this evening and Smith is also a great play in all formats.

TOP TEAMS TO TARGET

Edmonton Oilers

It’s a no-brainer to put Edmonton and their surging third-ranked offense here, especially against the Canucks’ pitiful 29th ranked defense.

All-world superstar Connor McDavid has an astonishing 37 points in only 20 games and the German power forward Leon Draisaitl has 30 points in 20 games. Tyson Barrie, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, and Alex Chiasson fill out the dangerous top pp unit for the Oilers.

Montreal Canadiens

The Habs are regressing on offense a bit as they slipped down to the #8 rank but they play against Ottawa and their league-worst defense again this evening.

Tyler Toffoli has sniped 11 goals to go along with five assists through 17 games and point-man Jeff Petry has six goals and ten assists through 17 games. Nick Suzuki, Corey Perry, and Jonathan Drouin complete the top pp unit for the Habs.

VALUE PLAYS

Alex Chiasson

The theme is Oilers heavy today and with good reason as their offense is tearing the North division apart. Chiasson plays a bottom-six role at even-strength but plays on the lethal top pp unit with all of the studs. The veteran winger has a pp goal and an assist in his last two games and at minimum prices on both sites, he is a great value play in all formats.

David Savard

We need value to fit in superstars like McDavid and this guy fits the bill as he has five shots in his last two games and a whopping 19 blocks in his last five. Savard is a great value play especially on dk where you get a three-point block bonus after three blocks.
